CHRISTIAN CARBONNEL
Created Kajal, Dahab & some of the scents from the Fiddah Collection Chris has always been in the world of perfumery, thanks to his father Francisco Carbonnel, the perfumer of his own company. He gave him the passion and the talent to create wonderful fragrances.
Nowadays, Christian is a renowned perfumer dedicating his career to work refined and exceptional fragrances. Chris travelled the world, searching for needs and future trends of different markets and different brands.
He specialized through time in Niche, Artistic and Oriental perfumes, and is, today, a reference in this discipline. Several houses trust him in his know-how: Kajal, Xerjoff, Sospiro, Rancé, Casamoratti, Jardins de France, Kemi, Santi Burgas, among others.
ROSENDO MATEU
Created Kajal Homme, Dahab & some of the scents from the Fiddah Collection Rosendo Mateu is the living image of a self- made man, this is reflected in his work and especially in its perfectionism that touches each of his creations.
For 40 years, Mateu has been one of the specialists at Puig, one of the world’s most prestigious perfume companies. During that time he has developed dozens of fragrances, which carry his personal signature and the ambition to achieve a combination of commerciality together with the creation of a unique product.

ALIX MIRAL
Created Joorie & Warde Alix’s perfume passion began with her collection of fragrance posters when she was a teenager. She later graduated from ISIPCA and has worked with Laboratoire Monique Remy in Grasse and Chanel in Paris. She has worked for DROM New York as well as DROM Munich since 2001.
Alix focuses on fine fragrance and toiletries – especially hair care and skin care – as well as home care. Whether on a Namibian safari or canoeing with crocodiles in French Guyana, Alix is always learning and exploring new territories.
She enjoys trekking, skating, and going to the opera or a modern art exhibition (Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, and Matisse are her favorites). Completely at home in the kitchen, she loves to cook – with her dad being a chef, she had a great professor!

URS CASTELLETTI & DAVID CHIEZE
Faris is a splendid, curated fragrance that has been exclusively produced for Kajal in a collaborative effort by Urs CASTELLETTI and David CHIEZE.
URS CASTELLETTI
“Creating fragrances is like a puzzle!” says Urs Castelletti, perfumer with 30 years of experience at the LUZI fragrance house. A bold statement, but what exactly does he mean by this? For Urs, it is the experience that lets him understand what really goes together. But, like so many aspects of craftsmanship, it takes time, training and practice to get there. After decades of experience, Urs has acquired the ability to assemble the individual puzzle pieces into wonderful creations and bring them to life.
DAVID CHIEZE
David has always loved scent and fragrance. He traveled regularly to Provence, France as a child, and still fondly recalls the scent of rosemary in the mountains on warm summer days. It was clear early on that the fascinating world of perfumery was his calling. After graduating with a master’s degree in chemistry, David used his expert knowledge to passionately sell fine fragrance compositions at L’Artisan Parfumeur opening up his world into the realm of fragrances. The words calm, intuitive and passionate probably describe David best.
RANIA JOUANEH
Created Almaz by celebrated perfumer Rania Jouaneh, renowned for her exquisitely powerful and sensual perfume creations.
Rania is the innovator and creator of modern and sophisticated natural perfumes. Her passion for fragrances and perfumes originates from her childhood in the Middle East and Africa. There, she was surrounded by the aromas of jasmine trees under which she played, the spice markets, the exotic souks and magical African bazaars. Today she is a perfumer and nose in Paris where nature’s aromas remain the core of her modern and sensual creations.
Rania’s fragrances are a reflection of her personality: authentic and original, natural and sophisticated. She envisages her perfume as a key accessory, one to be worn as jewelry for the skin. She uses noble and rare essences in all her scents while respecting their olfactory richness and complexities.
Marc Daniel HEIMGARTNER Master Perfumer - LUZI
Fueled with a love of arts, the exotic cuisine and a curious nature to embody emotion in line with creativity, Marc’s fragrance creations tell a distinct story of pure craftmanship and are a testament to his vocation.
In the development of Masa, Marc says “The fragrance contains a sparkling fresh ginger effect harmonized with bergamot and cardamom, Provence herbs, petitgrain and a magnificent transaparent aquatic accord.” He adds “I used a rare characteristic micro-distilled patchouli with a long-lasting ambery woody and musky undertone.”
